ABOUT THE CATALOGUE
Within the Asia-Pacific Region, Bali Process member States, international organizations and non‐governmental organizations undertake a broad range of training and capacity building activities focused on combatting people smuggling, trafficking in persons, and related transnational crime.
To support the Bali Process Members’ desire for a harmonized and comprehensive approach to addressing people smuggling and trafficking in persons, the Regional Support Office of the Bali Process (RSO) has developed this website with the aim to provide a simple, user friendly repository of available training and capacity building activities available within and among Bali Process member States.
Therefore creating a platform which:
- supports a more effective and harmonized approach to training;
- highlights existing tools and training that is available to the membership;
- reduces duplication among training partners, and;
- promoting more effective regional cooperation.
The Regional Catalogue of Training and Capacity Building Courses will provide Bali Process member States with a voluntary, non-binding framework containing the core training elements required to effectively manage borders, reduce trafficking and smuggling, promote safe and orderly migration, prosecute perpetrators of the crimes of trafficking and smuggling, while protecting victims and vulnerable persons.
The Catalogue will enable users to identify existing training materials which are available for use, and identify training providers, and partners from within the Bali Process membership.
